I used the trig function y=(3cos(.2x)+5)sin(x) to create a graph that increased and decreased in amplitude. I then found the maximum and minimum points on the graph and used a 45 degree angle to connect them. The horizontal distance between each peak and valley translates to a certain number of warp threads, and I multiplied each distance by 3 to enlarge the pattern somewhat (this keeps the ratio between distances constant). The pattern is threaded in a straight draw that reverses directions each time the determined number of warp thereads is used.

I have not woven this yet, but intend to use white or natural single ply line linen in both the warp and weft. I also hope to put it through cold mangles, if I can find some.
