To add a project, go to your notebook by clicking on My Stuff.
On the left-hand menu, click on the option that says New Project.
This brings up a page where you can add many different kinds of information about your project. You can put in a lot of detail or a little, as you prefer.
Project name: this is the only essential field. This can be whatever you like -- "houndstooth scarf", "Bob's jacket", "green yardage", "stretching my wings" -- anything.
Draft: you can use this to jog your own memory, or you can add the draft to Weavolution for others to use. (More information on adding a draft to Weavolution is here.)
Project status: by default this is set to Not Started. You can update as appropriate, or just leave it at not started if you prefer.
Date started: by default this is the day you enter the project. You can change it as you like, but it can't be blank.
Date finished: You can use the popup calendar or just type in a date. This box can remain blank.
Next you will see several boxes for the yarns used in your project.
Warp yarn: start typing the name of the yarn you are using. If there are any matches in the Weavolution yarn database, they will show up in a box below the one in which you are typing. You may highlight one and press enter to select it.
If you are using more than one yarn in your warp, click on Add another warp yarn to enter another yarn.
Weft yarn: if you are using the same yarn in your weft as in your warp, check the box above warp yarn that says "Use same yarn(s) for warp and weft." This will fill in the weft yarn boxes for you.
Otherwise, enter your weft yarns the same way you entered the warp yarns.
Loom used: start typing the name of the loom you used. If there are any matches in the Weavolution loom database, they will show up in a box below the one in which you are typing. You may highlight one and press enter to select it.
Add photo: you may add photos to which you own the copyright (i.e., not a picture of the project in a book or magazine, but a picture you took of your own project) . Information on uploading a photo is here.
