Why don't we introduce

Why don't we introduce ourselves and where we're from?  I'm Trish from San Antonio.  I like to explore color and structures on scarves. I'm particularly intrigued by collapse weaves right now.

I am from Tyler, TX, in the beautiful north-east TX hills, woods, azaleas and roses.  We don't have a guild, but do have a weaving shop, Rosepath, just north of I-20.  I started weaving over 25 years ago, while living in Houston.  As such, I am a member of the Houston, Dallas and TX Guilds.  Weaving wool rugs is my very favorite weaving, followed by band weaving(tablet, braiding, inkle and ethnic pick-up.)

Hi, I'm D'Anne (Danny) from Houston.  I like to weave with fine threads with silk being my favorite fiber.  I have only been weaving for 7 years and am so lucky to have access to the many talented and sharing weavers in the two Houston guilds.

Hi,  Suzanne from Georgetown

Hi,  Suzanne from Georgetown here.  I'm a 4H person (mostly) and my poor old 1940-something Gilmore has been sitting naked far too long.  That WILL change now that the Estes Park Wool Market is over.............

Hi, I'm Rob (Roberta) and

Hi, I'm Rob (Roberta) and I moved to San Antonio a little more than a year ago. (I posted this first on the forum, rather than the group, or vice versa -- what's the difference?)   The Southwest School of Art and Craft is a wonderful place here in SA.  I have been studying tapestry weaving there, and this term am enrolled in the studio weaving group, working on a Navajo-technique wall hanging on a 4-harness floor loom.  The pleasures of working in the studio with other weavers has led to a huge collection of fantasies about future projects!  Trish, are you ever at the Southwest School?

Hi guys.. moderator marie here and I'm told we're supposed to have these discussions in the 'forum' not the group section. Confusing, I know.. and they're fixing that.

I see you everywhere on the web lately but not as up close and personal. Has it been that long?
