I am taking part in a warp faced stripes WAL at the moment and have found it a very interesting challenge so I am here to snoop and learn!
Laverne, glad to have you - i imagine you'll have some great input for us as well!
I love stripes, planning stripes, using the fibonacci secuence to generate stripes, Amelia's method for using playing cards to generate stripes. However what I fear is using variegated yarn for organic stripes! I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck this Halloweave! So I am combining one dare to tackle many of my weaving fears! I am daring myself to use my naturally dyed Maggie's Farm wool, to warp an organic stipe, double weave shawl!
Good luck to us all,
My dare would be to try stripes for the first time. Hopefully i'll find a way to make it work, although i started weaving the day before yesterday. But hey, isn't that the meaning of Halloweave! I'm in love with stripes myself so it'll be a fun new challenge!
Good luck to all of us!
My plan is to come up with a draft that uses stripes. At this point I'm not sure what draft I want to use.I am new to weaving and have never come up with my own draft so that will also be part of my challenge.
