http://www.handweaver.us/bobbin_winder.htm It is a copy with improvements, the addition of a needle roller bearing, of a Inca bobbin winder. The bearing on the shaft keeps from wearing out the wood. With the bearing in place you could add a small electric motor to drive the shaft with out causing the wood to burn.
