Just to give you the heads up, Interweave have decided not to reprint Double Woven Treasures of Old Peru by Cahlander. They have a few copies left, at full price. Amazon has been out of stock of this book for a while, so whether they will get any more in.........? Your guess is as good as mine!
The Chandler book, Learning to Weave, is also on their hit list. along with a few other much loved and recommended titles.
I too would like to thank you for the tip. It's a great book!'

I just went on Interweave Press site and the book is still listed... still full priced. perhaps the book Weaving in the Peruvian Highlands will 'replace' the firt book ?!
The hit list is here:
www.interweavestore.com/Almost-Gone-Forever.html
Once these books are sold there will be no more reprints.
How quickly they sell will depend on how much stock they have.
The prices are better on amazon.
In my humble opinion, nothing can replace Double Woven Treasures.-Adele Cahlander is my hero along with Ann Rowe.
Weaving in the Peruvian Highlands is a very nice read and has gorgeous gorgeous photos with lots of designs to inspire you but there is no discussion of structure or technique-it wasn't meant to be that kind of book . It is well worth having.
I just ordered from Interweave
Double Woven Treasures From Old Peru
Woven Treasures: One-of-a-Kind Bags with Folk Weaving Techniques
Due to a special 40% off sale Interweave is having on selected items for Labor Day (USA) weekend!
That saved about $20, which more than covered the $9 Postage charge for delivery.
I should see it next week.
It's a good day!

Thanks for the tip Caroline. I got a copy. I always hate to see good books go out of print;.
