Since I don't do the podcast thing, can I just comment in this thread?

Because this is fantastic about the podcast and WEBS and even more so about the Weavolution Anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Susan, I think you have to make the comment on the blog page mentioned above if you want to be entered into the contest.  I listened, cheering Claudia the whole way.  Yay Claudia!  Good interview.  Yay Weavolution!

I Lasted 2 minutes into the podcast, nothing against Claudia, I simply could not listen any more, and I'm sure she did a great job when she came on! Good luck to the winners!

The drawing will be done from the comments on the WEBS site (at the link given).  You don't have to listen to the podcast if you don't want, but can still leave a comment.

I also don't listen much to podcasts, but Ready Set Knit is one I enjoy.  It is short and always pleasant, and lets me know what is going on in the yarn world.  They do some very interesting interviews.  And I'll confess, I've had more than one yarn accident after listening!

So go a head and leave a comment on their site to let them know that you appreciate what they are doing for Weavolution.

And thanks so much for your enthusiastic words.  I agree - this is fantastic!!!!!

Thanks so much for Weavolution. Although I haven't posted anything before, I do follow several groups and thanks to the notes of all the wonderful weavers who do post info, I have gotten my weaving feet very wet.

I guess it's about time I did this!  Will have fun exploring . . .

Congratulations to Weavolution and all its members on our First Birthday!  I have been a member since the beginning, and especially enjoy looking at the projects posted.  I have been a customer of Webs since the "old days," when entering the warehouse was like going on a treasure hunt in a far-off land.  Great cross-exposure for both businesses! 

I sent to the blog but appeared to be the only comment there.. can this be true?

Well I did plan to listen to the pod cast, but we had a bad thunderstorm.  Not only did I have to turn off my computer but had to shut down my AVL.......Oh Well.

Congrats Weavolution on getting a place where weavers can chat about what we LOVE most!!!  Hopefully this will be the first anniversity of many!

I think all the comments are being held under moderation on the WEBS site and that is why they are not showing.

I think you're right about comments being held until they've been screened by WEBS.  My, they're going to have a nice flood of them when they're done with their moderation!

While I'm all logged in and everything -- congratulations to Weavolution and all who are in here!  I just joined recently, but have been following the unfolding of this whole new world ever since the first "feeler" messages were posted on WeaveTech.

Claudia, not I, is the eloquent one.  So my simple heartfelt thanks to all of you.

It is our goal, first and foremost, for Weavolution to be a home for all weavers - whereever you are and whatever you do.  We are 100% volunteer-run and it is a labor of love.  All of our limited $ go to maintaining and improving the site, and the improvements we implement have been suggested by our users.

We hope that you continue to enjoy Weavolution and help it to evolve into an even more welcoming place.

Thanks,  Weavolution for a great year of inspiration and help with technical problems.  We are on an erratic satellite feed so I  do not do podcasts. 

In an effort to expedite the podcast for anyone with very limited time I went back and observed when the actual interview with Claudia starts -- however, I want to add, as a courtesy to WEBS, that I myself did enjoy listening to the beginning of the podcast, especially the descriptions of new yarns.  

The interview with Claudia starts at (00:10:43) just over 10 & 1/2 minutes into the podcast.  I'm not a tech expert by any means, so please excuse my lack of proper terminology, but to fast forward to the interview just click and drag right the little bar which moves as the podcast progresses.  The interview is approximately a third of the way into the podcast.

Also, I want to thank WEBS for their generosity.  The podcast and the gift baskets are a wonderful way to celebrate the anniversary of "our community", Weavolution.  Thank you, WEBS!

I just signed up for Weavolution.  I am new to weaving and voracious for knowledge. Working on a Kromski rigid heddle purchased a few months ago and loving it.  Already curious about multi harness looms!

Hi all~ So glad to finally be a member of Weavolution. Weaving is meditation to me. I have not had room for my loom for a very long time. I recently decided I needed to weave so much I gave up my bedroom; cleared it out for the loom and weaving paraphanalia. I now sleep on a futon in my living room. It is worth the inconvenience. Why did it take me so long to realize that weaving is that important?

The first anniversary! A very happy one for a growing group of fiber enthusiasts.  May it be the first of many.  I waited and watched, along with many, as the site was being developed, and though I don't have a lot of time to dedicate, I love to check in and check out what is going on when I can.  The variety of groups is inspiring, and I have learned a lot. Many thanks for developing this site! 

I am new to Weavolution (just signed up)  but using WEBS for all my yarn needs. Great site, exciting projects and very inspiring artists!

Well I tried to access the podcast and blog, but received a server error.  Anyways, congratulations! I enjoy seeing others work.  It is very inspiring!

Am listening to the podcast at the moment and it is quite long and has a fair amount of marketing, though I will check out the online catalogue.  Wish there was a bit less chat & more info, but it's a nice idea.  Would be better with a video podcast  - but bet that's more technical.  Happily, I just figured out how to jump ahead to Claudia's interview - very nice!

Anyway, I really like weavolution and congrats on a one year anniversary.  I've been a member since January and even tho I don't always log in, I do check the site fairly often.
