Let's hear a big cheer for Marian and the dev team, Tina, Sharon, and Kay for a job well done.

The new forum structure looks great and we are thrilled.

I know you have been working very hard to have this done correctly.

My hat is off to you ladies for a job well done!!

It looks great! Much appreciated.

One question..........if I go to the main forum page and look in ''my groups'', I see the backstrap group with ''unread posts'' (2).

What do I do with this information? I can't click on it and be taken to those posts. How do I find out what these two unread posts are?

EDIT.........Okay, all my queries have been graciously answered by Kay and Marian so I am all sorted out now!

Thank you!

We'll see how it goes. There

We'll see how it goes.

There will be bumps on the way to full transition of the new system, but I'm sure it will be an improvement.

Thank you for making the changes.

Have a good day!

I'd love to have the front

I'd love to have the front forum page customizable.  This new version is four to five times as long on my screen and takes much longer to find what hasn't been read.  A cover page which only shows new items since last access and allows you to remove main forums that are not of interest would be more useful than having to wade through all the extraneous descriptors and inactive or read material.  In the meantime I guess I'll not access as often.

Lkautio - You will probably

Lkautio -

You will probably laugh at me, but when I first saw the changes and started working with the new forum, I too had a similar reaction.  But now that I've been using it for a while (on the test side), I actually really like it!

Certainly I'm always thinking of even more improvements, but I think the overall usability has improved significantly.  So give it a try for about a week, and then let us know what you think.

Thanks,
Kay

That's a very good idea, but

That's a very good idea, but I immediately start thinking about how to do it and what makes sense.  For example, is it the page you get when you click on the Forums tab, or is there a separate way to get there?  What happens if you have never been to the Forums before?  What really should be on a summary like that?

I think it's a great idea, now I just need to start thinking about what it would look like and how you would get there.

To me if we could separate

To me if we could separate Weavolution Forums and My Forums into two tabs that would make it easier specific subjects I am interested in and then I could always click on the Weavolution Forums tab to see what admin/general stuff is out there.  Perhaps move the People tab to "resources.  After all we are all resources to each other!

Hooray! I don't have the

Hooray! I don't have the mysterious 33 unread threads in the backstrap forum anymore and the red envelopes have gone too. It all seems to be settling down nicely. :-)

I am overwhelmed with all the comments and expressions of thanks.

Weavolution is a community and certainly meets the dictionary definition of such:
a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals

My thanks to everyone here and all the volunteers in the background who have made this possible AND continue to help it grow and flourish. It makes it easy to come to work every day and to want to improve Weavolution for everyone here.

Thanks to you,

Claudia
