I'm not sure if its a computer setting or an update, but I can only see Weavolution as a text site! I have the same problem on a couple of other sites I regularly use. So I'm in the middle of trying to sort this out.

I'm having no problems using Google chrome or IE so it is something about Firefox that is the problem. Has anyone else had this problem? It only started about 12 hours ago.

A very frustrated Caroline

Hi Caroline,

I'm afraid I ditched Firefox and have stuck with Chrome and Safari (not so much) because I found Firefox too challenging.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks,

Claudia

I seem to have solved it,

I seem to have solved it, though I'm not sure how! I was about to change to IE8 because Firefox has been buggy lately, and had installed an  IE8 add-on,  so this may have been the source of the problem. With a spot of tweaking, unloading the IE add-on and disabling some Firefox add-ons, and re-booting several times I now have everything back, and can see the pretty pictures once more! I think the moral of this is stick with what you know! I don't like/trust IE so I should not have even considered using it.

Whatever I did has also solved the other issues I was having with Firefox!

Hi Caroline,

I use Firefox 3.6.8 and am not having that kind of problem.

We don't use Internet Explorer but we do have Chrome loaded on this same computer.

Have a good day!

I found the culprit with a lot of fiddling. I ditched Adobe Reader a while back, but of course there is flash and a few other little Adobe bits and pieces we do need, and it appears they  interfere with my pdf reader and refuse to let it fire up in Firefox. So instead Firefox freezes, grrrrrrr!  Not happy!
