Am I missing something?  When I am on the front home page and clicking on the new messages to read I am taken to the new message beautifully, HOWEVER when I press my brower back button it takes me back to the home page and the message I just read still shows up as "red".  At what point does the screen refresh so I know I have read that message?  I am on an Apple mac mini using Safari 5.0

edit added....same thing happens on the groups & forum link above also, able to see new messages within the threads but the red does not refresh

ps, Claudia, I see your request for writing help but I cannot help at this time, I will do my best to put questions out there clearly as I run across them  regards  Deb Mc

Hi Deb, When you hit the back

Hi Deb,

When you hit the back button, you go back to the exact page you left.  If you refresh that page, the red "new" goes away.

Sorry, refresh does not clear

Sorry, refresh does not clear the red comments.
I am on an Apple on Safari 5.0.
I am:
using Dashboard view,
clicking on red new
reading the message
hitting my back key to return to Dashboard
and hitting refresh
nothing changes,

I even tried bouncing to the homepage and going back to Dashboard and the red items just don't clear

I did not wake up this morning thinking HOW can I torment the Weavo owners!

I have been trying various

I have been trying various combinations of moving through the pages and the red isn't changing.

dashboard,

clicked on the new messages,

read them,

clicked on dashboard again and

the new message still showed in red

I also found that there was no way to return to the dashboard page I had been on to continue scanning new stuff.

I hadn't been much help in the  pre-esting - too many guests to concentrate.   ;)

I've been using the dashboard

I've been using the dashboard to find new stuff, and like others find that the red "NEW" doesn't go away after I read a post.  However, if I keep reading other posts and returning to the dashboard using the link in the orange area, I find that eventually they do go away, sometimes three or four at a time.  Maybe that will help diagnose the problem.

Claudia, your patience and determination are awesome!!  Thank you!!

Bonnie.

When I posted the previous

When I posted the previous note, I returned to the dashboard and found that although it knew I posted ("most recent post 25 seconds ago") it did not have a red NEW.

still working thru pages

still working thru pages trying to get "red" items to reset, have gone to Safari help to try resetting cache and then refreshing...still not working, have noticed that sometimes when I am going back and forth between homepage, dashboard and messages SOME of the messages reset but not the all (even though I know I have read them), if your programmers have some hints please pass them on and we are willing to try them........

It takes a few minutes for

It takes a few minutes for the red "new" to go away when you are in the Dashboard. I will ask the developers if they can explain why.

I have been clicking on the "Groups & Forums" in the black bar at the top of every page and then clicking on the red "new" there.  After I have read a note, if I go back to the Groups & Forums and refresh the page, the red "new" seems to go away faster than on the Dashboard. I don't know why but will try to find out.
