I am still looking for the "clue" that will help identify how topics get flagged as locked. Because then it will be much easier for us to get the developers to fix the right thing. If anyone has any additional data on this it would be helpful. Meanwhile, I'll check in with the folks that have the magic "unlock" key to see if they can take care of this for us.

I had the same problem in the backstrap group forum yesterday. I deleted the text and just started another topic with the same heading. I reported it as a bug and Kay is looking into this for us.

I heard that sometimes using paste to copy text (or maybe pictures?) into the post can cause it to be locked. Did you do that?
I fixed this locked post this morning (and wrote a PM to dteaj) once I figured out the instructions. Now that a couple of us are trained on how to do it, the turn around in the future should be quicker.

I was able to unlock this. Can you tell me a little about how you loaded this message. Did you cut and paste the pictures? Was it on your computer or somewhere else on the internet?
We need to track down how this happens so any information you can provide will be helpful.

Some of the phtos were uploaded from my computer and others were already in my Weavolution folder (FCK editor).
That thread sat for a couple of days untouched-but not locked and I just noticed this morning that it was locked. No copying and pasting involved as far as I remember. Sometimes I copy and paste a link straight onto the page forgetting that I am supposed to use the link icon but I don't remember if I did that in this case.

I'm glad I was able to unlock it. If this happens again, we'll have to investigate a little more thoroughly for the cause. The developer didn't have any idea why it happened. Fortunately, the problems were fleeting.
