We need to find A better way to locate people's profiles. A listing by alphabet would be nice. With a alpha start not like the way it is now. When I go to search and type Sally under profile I get no hits. If I type my sign in name and search profile I get zero results

If you type Sally in the search box at the top of the page and use the dropdown menu
and click on users, you get several Sallys and Sally Orgren is one of them. We have tried to offer more than one way to search for things on Weavo. The search box is my personal favorite. I also like to "Favorite" people and projects I want to return to on a regular basis and they are easy to find when you go to My Profile in the orange box at the top of the page and click on "Favorites" on the left side of the page.

Slightly beside Michael's question, but: whichever option you select on the dropdown, the result comes out with two tabs: CONTENT and USERS. What does that mean?
And how come that by typing Kerstin and searching for Users, I find kerstinfroberg (which is ok!), but when I type finn (or finn*) and search for Projects I find nothing - to find the finnweave projects I have to type in the whole word? It seems wildcards do not work - and that the searches are different for users and projects.

You get two tabs because the Drupal module is configured like that. Once installed, it works for our specific database.
I will research the second part of your question about finnweave and let you know. It's a good question.

Before the renovation I was able to search on weavers by location. I can't find a way to do that anymore. How do I find other weavers in my state?

Laurie, we are testing a new Search module on the sandbox (Weavo test site) soon. I will let you know how it goes. We may need a month or so to make sure nothing else is effected by this addition.
