I'm barely here anymore because I can't find anything. I feel like I'm missing out. This new format is not very user friendly. I can't find my groups anymore. Am I the only one so frustrated that I'm thinking of just quitting Weavolution altogether? I really don't want to because the first year was great, but I can barely find a thread anymore. Any suggestions.

I know where you are coming from! It is hard getting used to the new format as the Dashboard does not tell us what groups the messages have been posted in. I very rarely use the Group tab because I have to plough through soooooooo much I can do without to get to the latest posts.
I tend to go from the front page hot topics to "More Groups and Forums" and have missed out on quite a few things that way, which is hopefully due to teething issues.
I do miss the easy cameraderie that seems to have been lost with the migration. I suspect that the new developers threw too much out, because I don't think this new site is an improvement, at this stage of its growth. From what Claudia has said, its impossible to get it back because it was broken, but I'd like to think that the new developers are broadminded enough to redevelop the best aspects of the old site and make it work.

Please don't quit! I was feeling quite perplexed at first myself, especially because I couldn't access it much until last week because I was on the road and often didn't have internet access. But I am beginning to find my way around again. There are several things I miss and hope they can be added back in the future, but it sounds like without this change there wouldn't have been a Weavolution at all any more.
I've found that using "groups & forums" in the black bar is easiest for me to find new posts. I miss being able to catch up a group at a time (especially the "next topic" link), but am sure I'll get used to it soon. It's still my preferred way to keep in touch with other weavers.
Please don't leave, Caroline. I have asked for an estimate to have the name of the Group added to the Dashboard page. And, I have asked for an estimate to have the ability to click on the red new when you go to My Groups and see there are new comments.
Right now, we need more money and we can have more frills. We have all our data, we have all our members and their drafts, projects and comments. Plus, I think we have a much nicer design. It will take all of us a little time to find our way around, consider it a treasure hunt. We'll work together and help each other find the things we're missing.
All the data in Groups, Forums, Projects and Drafts is here on the new site. I am doing my best to help people navigate around. Change is challenging but, as you said, the option was no Weavolution.
I'm open to fundraising ideas. And I am open to assistance with writing Help topics, it's a great way to learn your way around.
I'm not a quitter! I do sympathise with those who are finding it hard to move around the new site. I know its going to take a while to get things up and running again, and that there are bound to be teething problems while the new developers sort things out. I know its a matter of finances too. Many of the things that annoy me are probably just cosmetic, and because we got used to things being in a certain place, we bitch when we can't find them. We had this upset after every bit of upgrading before with the old site; remember how we grumbled about non-chronologica messages and the fun and games that caused?
This will all work itself out, and in the end its up to us, the members, to make it work.
Caroline, who is still "losing" threads, but getting better at it every day.
I have been thinking about quiting the site. I liked the old one better. I know it takes time to get use to a new site, so I keep hanging in. One problem I have noticed is it doesn't alway take off the new comment piece when I know I have read it.
It takes about 2 minutes to work it's way through the system and the red new is gone. If there are forum topics you are not interested in, you can click on the "mark all posts read" on the main forum page and about 2-3 minutes later.
We are working on organizing the Groups better so finding posts is less tedious. Have you tried clicking on Groups & Forums in the black bar? It takes you to the latest posts. Also, you can click on the Dashboard in the orange box and you will see everything that has happened on the website and when. We are also working on adding the name of the group to the Dashboard view for easier viewing.
I hope you'll decide to stay. This is a transitional period and, for the most part, we have a far, far better, nicer looking website than before.
Claudia, Weavolution co-founder
Oh, I'll stay. I'm missing a lot of posts, because it is taking me so long to locate them. I just can't spend that much time on the computer. I'll take the tour to see if that helps me. I'll keep plugging away here. In the mean time, fund raisers can be fun. If we all purchased something from the Weavolution store, I'll bet that would help. But a real fund raiser would be more fun.
Just began an auction here: http://weavolution.com/forum/sale-or-trade/auction-laura-fry-towels-14918#new
More items on the way.

OK, the dashboard helps. I would like to see what group I am clicking on, though. The new activities board, dashboard is helpful. Hope the auction brings in some good cash. I'm going to weave some little item for auction, too. Maybe some little bags using some of the delicate bands I've been weaving lately. Keep up the good work.
We will gratefully accept donations for items to auction to help raise funds on Weavolution. I will PM my home address for you to mail it when you have finished. Thank you.
I have asked the developers for an estimate to add the name of the group to the Dashboard view.
Claudia
