Hi... GREAT place!
I am just getting used to it all, and entered my profile things, then each of my looms. On each loom I wrote a paragraph or two in the summary box, but after saving, the paragraphs do not show up when later viewing my profile .... the loom pics and few short words describing each loom are there, but not the typed out paragraphs. Am I missing something?

The profile page is a summary. The loom name is a link, click on the link to see the Loom Details.

I don't think you understood my question. Let me re-phrase it:
On our profile, we list our looms.
On each loom, we can choose the details, add a photo, and can add a paragraph or two in a text box.
I did that. (seven times for seven looms)
Now when all done and saved, WHERE does that particular paragraph I typed in each text box on each loom show up?
When I click on my own loom links, the paragraph is not visible. Only the pic and the catagories of make, treadles, etc.
And from there it only lets me go in and edit them.. I can not view the text box paragrah details as a finished page. What do others see when they click on my loom links?
Thank you,
KarenInTheWoods
Hi Karen,
We currently have a (very) urgent ticket in with our developers because it turns out it is not possible to see someone else's looms at all! They are only visible to the user who created them. (How's that for a major bug?) That should be fixed today or tomorrow. I'll file another bug that the notes on each loom should be visible on that loom's page.
Sorry for the inconvenience - we've accomplished a lot in our development, but we're still polishing up the site!

Oh good, at least I am not going crazy or missing something then.... well, not "good" for you, but at least it can be fixed. I just thought I was not looking at it right. I even logged out and hit to view my profile as if I were a new person. to see if there was any difference.
One other thing I noticed was that the paragraph portion on our profile allows us to write and write and write, but only about 3 or 4 lines show up on the finished profile for other folks to see. It cuts it off, even mid sentence. Can that item on the finished profile page allow more text to be shown or as much as had been typed in?
Excited to start loading up some of my pics and drafts..... I have some "helpful hint" photos too for some weaving situations that might be of help too. Sometimes a pic is worth a thousand words!
What a great site... thanks for all your hard work!

I asked a few days ago, but there still is a random loom attached to my profile, and I can't find any way to get rid of it.
If you click on the loom on your profile, does it bring up a page with an "Edit" button or link? If so, you can use that link to delete it.
If you can't do that, let me know and I'll see if I can delete it for you, or have the developers look into it.
The paragraph part of the profile...I think we have a bug open for that. I'll put it on the list to be fixed by end of this week or early next. (The top priority for the developers right now is getting groups and forums better organized, since that seems to be the most popular part of the site. That should happen this week.) I agree that it's important to fix.
Another item that should be fixed late this week or early next is that larger photos will become available. We don't have disk space to store full size photos (2 MB) but we will resize photos down to some largish size (I'm thinking 800x800) for easier viewing. This comes right after the fixes to groups and forums.
One last thing: photo upload, so you can put photos in your posts, is currently very complicated to do from the editor. (You can do it, but it's pretty painful.) We're working on fixing that as well.
AHHHH.....I think that is one of the Loom God's hinting to you that it's time to buy another loom!
LOL LOL

Nope, no edit button when I click on it. I'd played adding my own looms and then was able to delete them right away. This doesn't have any options when I click on it.
lol, no need or room for another loom! I'm currently trying to figure out how to get a loom that is at my grandparents house into my house. I want the width, but that means it takes up more room, at least it folds up while it's warped....
yay, I think I got it off, but if it shows up again I'll let you know.
