The calendar view of classes (the dates the classes are being offered) does not match the dates posted on the list version of the classes. For example, the "meet the teachers" class is listed as being offered on 9/25, but it doesn't show up at all on the calendar view. In fact, there is a different class (McMoran balance class) listed at the same time. I don't know if that means there are two classes going at the same time or whether the meet the teachers has been cancelled.
I signed up for the meet the teachers class, and got a confirmation that fails to list the date or time - which is not useful since I'm so confused about when / if this class is happening. Plus, I didn't get any of the information about how to attend. This is the same problem I had the first time I tried to attend a class. The second time I couldn't get to the hosting service, and this was going to be my third try, but so far it's not going any better . . . . .
Sally,
I believe you've recieved your class information now. The calendar has also been updated. The reason you don't see the Meet the Teachers on the classes page anymore is that it is already full.
Cheers,
Erica
Thank you again Erica! I'm sorry to be such a pain, but the process for the classes isn't documented and it's confusing. And, the first time it requires hours of work installing new software - which I have to do over again since my computer had to be rebuilt from scratch recently.
It seems to me it would be better to mark the classes as full rather than having them disappear from the calendar - that is confusing, especially since the confirmation email has none of the date/time information in it. My 2 cents!
Sally
Sally,
I'm so sorry the process has been confusing. We are in the process of rethinking how the classes function, so I'll add this to the list of suggestions. Thank you very much for your input!
I hope there isn't too much for you to install! I'll see you Sunday!
Cheers,
Erica
I agree with SallyE that it would be nicer to have the class marked full, but still be on the page. It also gives you an idea as to how fast certain classes fill up so you know how quickly you have to decide when one fits into your schedule.
I just finished week 2 of 3 of Alice Schlein's class on network drafting. I'm understanding it much better with this class than if I had just tried to learn it on my own.
Tina,
Thanks for your input. I will look into changing this. We appreciate all input on improving the site.
Cheers,
Erica
