Hello,
I've mentioned this before but as the class is in two weeks (starts August 15) and there are still a few spaces remaining I thought I'm note it again. I'm teaching a two week class at Penland School of Crafts, Aug. 15-27. It's called "Tapestry and other Weft-Faced Adventures" and I'll introduce the basic of tapestry as well as a few other weft-faced methods, including krokbragd. I will have small Brennan-style looms for students to use for tapestry and we'll use table looms to explore other techniques. We'll discuss designing both for tapestry and for the other methods, as well. I'll have lots of print resources with me and the location of Penland is spectacular--on a lovely ridge in the Western North Carolina mountains.
If interested to learn more about the class, please go to the Penland website at http://penland.org and look under session 6 classes in Textiles to find my class description. By the way, Jeanne Brady is also teaching a weaving class during the same session and the description of that will be there, as well.
