When i first joined this forum i tried to add my looms that i have a couple of times but they are not showing up.
im not sure if the looms page is moderated and if the looms need to be approved, however, its been some time now and they still arn't there. not sure if this is a problem but thought i better raise it and see what anyone had to say.
kind regards
Phil
Hi Phil,
Looms has not been moderated yet and it's something we're working on. We do plan on having looms and yarns moderated soon but not sure exactly when, perhaps by the end of January. If you have entered your looms, they are there and moderation will happen.
Thanks for your patience and support. And thanks for Joining the Weavolution.

Hi Claudia,
Great news to hear, thank you very much.

When adding a loom, the field "loom model" is required. If the "search" button does not yield a good choice, one is permitted (required) to enter something. Myself, I entered "countermarche".
After saving the info, the loom model does not show - and, if I try to edit the entry, the field is empty. It is again required that I enter something. Again I entered countermarche, which does not show.
What is the idea with the "loom model" field? Wouldn't that be the perfect place to write the loom type - countermarch, counterbalance, backstrap, frame... ? Or, perhaps, there could be a new field, called "loom type"?
Hi Kerstin.
We are busily working on looms in the background. The issue is that manufactures and looms components are moderated and that function isn't working well. We've come up with some work-arounds so hopefully that will help the issues go away.
As to your specific question, Loom models is actually the model name of the loom. Examples are the Glimakra Julia, or the Schacht Baby Wolf. Glimakra is the manufacturer, Julia the model. Countermarche is be the loom type.
Please keep an eye on the looms - you should start seeing improvement soon!
