I have blocked the user. Her profile was focused on selling some vitamins or something. Not appropriate for Weavolution and clearly a sales pitch.

I am new here, and this is my first post.
I got the email from "alicebaby" of course getting a private message asking me to email privately, immediatly i knew it was spam (had to be)
anyway, its my private, not yahoo addy,so other than reporting and blocking her from my email, not sure if I need to do anything else.

That's plenty. Thanks for letting me know. She was blocked first thing (7am) this morning but not before she reached out to about 50 members of Weavolution.

This is very frightening to me, as I recently had to change my e-mail address due to being hacked. My contacts were sent messages from my account asking my friends and family for money . Not again I hope! Deb
I am very certain this was limited to just the message you received on Weavolution. The person who did this was prolific not clever and I am assured by my hosting company and developers it was a person not a bot of some sort or the entire Weavo population would have been hit and they were not.

Oh, yuk. I don't know how to handle that one. Not exactly spam but for some reason the thread has repeated itself 3 times.

They are trying to sell a masters degree in social work?

(fiber-arts-programs...) This happened in a couple of groups (maybe all?) after one of the major upgrades. As I can't find any doubled threads it may have been fixed, or I'm looking in the wrong groups, or group admin may have "cleaned up".
I agreed with the assessment that it was spam and deleted the social work post.
