Recently I noticed that if you are not logged in as a user, you get to see the Weavo postcard.
It does not look that good on some computer screens. When I am at work, I cannot read the smaller print at all.
At home, where I have a good monitor, the readability of the letters is poor.
This is a weak welcome to the premier gathering place for handweavers.
If you can increase the size of the lettering on the welcome screen, it would be better for all.
Have a good day!
Thanks Franco
It looked decent on my screen, so I appreciate your telling us!
Alison
The postcard looks fine and is very readable on both my home and my work computer screens. I thought it made a nice opening page when not logged in.
It's a nice postcard.
I don't think it plays well as the opening image for a first impression to a visitor. I don't mean to be critical. But if your team is developing a welcome screen, you probably want to know how it appears on this end.
Well, I know it's all subject to perception.
I thought if it doesn't show up well on my average computer on DSL at home, and if it shows up badly on the Winterm I use at work, I thought that I would mention it.
Just my opinion. Your mileage may vary. Void were taxed or prohibited.
Have a good day!
Hi Franco,
After receiving your note yesterday, we started working on improving the resolution on the information piece that appears on the non-signed in version of Weavolution. Thanks for your concern, I know you want Weavolution to be the best we can possibly be and make improvements wherever and whenever possible. This is, unfortunately, one case where it's not as easy as it looks.
We do hope to have this looking better very soon.
The Weavolution team,
Alison, Marian and Claudia
I know. I know.
You guys are working hard. You are doing wonderfully!
I don't expect anything to happen overnight.
I appreciate everything you guys are doing.
Have a joyful day!
Hey Claudia,
I think i'm pretty sure that your issue is resolution related, but the main thing is that when you create a graphic for a webpage, you need to have images that are sized at 100% for the space needs on the page. You get big resolution problems with taking a 3 inch logo and stretching it in the web editor to say 4 inches. It works better to have the image sized prior to placing it.
I noticed that your logo (upper left0 is stretched, therefore creating a very choppy look)

Mary
