I like the Hot Threads on the home page.

Can we include what group the thread is from?

Like "Backstrap Weaving/Introductions" instead of "Introductions"

Also, when I click on one of these Hot Threads, I can see the subject and messages, but I can't tell what group I am reading.

But I like Weavolution. Keep up the good work.

Have a good day!

i second this one, as it can

i second this one, as it can become very confusing until you drill down to the thread.

Weavolution is great, I'm spending far too much time here gossiping, but who cares!!!!!

 For group forums, I can't

For group forums, I can't tell what forum I'm in, even after I drill down to the thread. I also can't go from there to the forum itself.  Both these options are available for the general forums - the ones created before the groups were migrated.

Also, am I only seeing hot threads for my forums or for everything?  I could see an argument for either approach. Down the road, that could even be a user option.

MaryMartha, It appears the

MaryMartha,

It appears the hot threads are for all forums, which I like very much, it gives me a clue about groups that I didn't know had something I was interested in.

It would be great if I could tell what group forum I was in.

Have a good day!

Yes - if I post a reply in

Yes - if I post a reply in one of these there is no knowing where it went or if I'll ever be able to pick up the thread again.

I had NO idea that my intro

I had NO idea that my intro was going to be posted as a "hot thread" on the Weavolution home page (whatever a "hot thread" was...and I didn't know what it was 'til now...I think it should have been made clear that my intro was going on the home page before I sent it) I am not objecting really, but I did make my comments specific to the Backstrap Group or Forum...and that is another thing. What the heck difference is there between a Forum and  a Group? It is not clear to me at all.  I like Weavolution but...the site is at times rather complicated, or, not obvious & intuitive.

And...to hit "SAVE" is really to "send", yes? Well, why not just say "SEND"?

Now, where is this message going to be posted, I wonder...

We are working on

We are working on explanations and fixes to all your comments.  I will, however, try to sort it all out here.

Groups are what you join with other users who have a similar interest.  Once you have joined a group, you can see all the comments/topics that have been posted in the forum or discussion section for each group.  Every user has access to the first 8 groups on Weavolution.  Beyond that, you will see all the comments in the forums section for the groups you have joined.

Hot Threads are the most recent topics posted to all/any group on Weavolution.  We are working on a way to improve how that is displayed on the home page and will be rolling that out next week.

Sorry for the confusion.  If you have any more questions or if I have not explained enough here, please let me know.  I try to check in at least once or twice a day.

When returning to weavolution

When returning to weavolution website, i find that now, i most always click on the logo in the upper left, to see the latest posts. Because so few are listed, and they updated as new posts are generated, i probably miss much activity... It might be nice to see a much longer list (maybe a day's worth) so i can browse thru to see items of interest, without having to plow and hunt thru my groups and forums.... just my 2 cents.

Enjoying the site more and more. keep up the good work!

I also agree that it should

I also agree that it should be SEND or SUBMIT instead of Save.  I use GMail which uses save to mean save a draft.  If I want to send my reply to the group then I want to  "SEND".    I guess initially its not clear what save means until you learn that it really means to send.  Then again I must remember which contexts or forums, I want to use save instead of send.

Thanks for explaining the

Thanks for explaining the difference between a Group and  Forum. It was not at all obvious. I do like the Hot Threads section upon opening the web site. It's fun. It would be helpful to have each tread linked to its forum too. I know you are working on that.

Here is one suggestion from me: I cannot tell to whom this email will be sent. All it says above the formatting line is:

Post new reply, Your name: Russian Princess, Reply, Format line

An address in a "To" line would be helpful. There are several people on the replies above my reply box that I am not sure who will receive my post.

And, I still say, name the red button SEND not SAVE if it means send. It'd be clearer.

I cannot imagine how much work it took to develop the site - and, really, bugs in it are par for the course, I suppose. Web site development is challenging, I've heWe all should be patient. I imagine you have gotten tons of suggestions from the users. That shows how invested we all are in Weavolution. So, here are my praises and keep up the good work, folks! I really like the site!

Yesyesyes!SallyB tells is

Yesyesyes!SallyB tells is correctly! SAVE means to save a draft, and not just in Gmail but in Microsoft Word.use SUBMIT or SEND - either is fine for me.
