A couple of funny things...

I'm starting to get the hang of the new format, and I hope you don't mind if I point out a couple of things I've found.

I've been using the dashboard to read new posts etc. and this morning I went to each red "new" and eventually (not immediately) all the "new" tags disappeared.  But I then clicked the black "Forums and Groups" tab, and all the little red "new" tags were back!!  Are there two separate data bases that keep track of what I have read?

The second thing is that I found the list of pictures that I've uploaded these past many months and only 4 of them are there while I know I have uploaded more than that.  I had hoped that the list of uploads would contain all images that I've uploaded so I could re-insert them into later posts without uploading them again.

The third thing is in my projects, where several of my projects don't appear at all, and the ones that are there are shown twice.

And one other thing is that I seem to get all posts -- not just the ones in the groups I have joined.  So does joining a group no longer make any difference?

Thanks again for your patience and determination, Claudia.  I'm only trying to be helpful -- not complaining!

Bonnie.

the little red "new" tags

the little red "new" tags seem to have a life of their own. There is a mesage on the efficient weaver group that stays marked, no matter how I read it.

Another thing is that, when using the "next" option (as I write, on this thread there is a link to "logged in and guest" and also to "add stuff choice"), I always find me at the very top of the thread, and have to scroll down all the way to the newest message. It would be nice to have a button for "go to the first unread post".

Thank you both, these are all

Thank you both, these are all very helpful observations and allow us to see the problems and act on them.

I do not feel anyone is complaining, we're all adjusting to this new home and a few things are not as they should be.  It's very helpful to know what you are experiencing, especially if it differs from what I see.  It's also very helpful if you can include the computer and operating system you are using and  the browser and what version.

Thank you for your assistance to clean things up.

yep, AND sometimes they disappear and reappear so they are not reliable....., sometimes they take you to the next message, sometimes not, I have nieces visiting this weekend so I don't have time to mark what page I started from group, home, dashboard or forum to divide out how things work.....still figuring things out between family stuff Deb

In some of the groups the

In some of the groups the tags read from top to bottom in others they read from bottom to top. To move to the top or the bottom of the page use the "Home" / "End" keys next to the Delete key on your keyboard. Claudia and company are working hard to fix all the little bugs.

another funny thing

I was reading the group : What other fiber arts do you do? & part way down it started to repeat itself. I don't think you need space taken up with double posts, right?

Hope this is the right plac eto post...

Duplicate Group Posts

In the group I created "Fire in the Sky" I noticed today that the 'Introduce Yourself' message thread repeats itself.  As group owner is there any way I can go in a delete these duplicate posts?

Thank you for reporting these

Thank you for reporting these duplicate posts.  If you can give me the url, I can take care of deleting them.

We have been considering what admin rights we can give to group moderators.  I will work on learning more about that.  Thanks for the suggestion, Erik.
