Hi.  I've wondered why a forum post gives the option for an auto alert, but a comment posted on a project doesn't.  I think that would be a good thing, because it's hard to remember to keep checking back.  If a question was posed in the comment and the person answers it, I would miss the answer.  In the same way I think it would be good if the person who posts the project could opt for auto alert whenever a comment is posted -- which could be weeks/months later.

Yep.  This improvement is on our list.  Hopefully we'll get that soon!  Turns out it isn't just a switch.

 Hi,

I had have  the same problem , but it was solved  without doing something. I wrote about this here last year:

http://www.weavolution.com/node/6999#comments

It´s my impression that`s it is working different for every user.  Another thing is , that I can see in some  personal profiles , when this person was last online on Weavo  - but in other profiles this doesn`t work too.

Hi Kristina, I think what

Hi Kristina,

I think what happens is, that if you post a comment as a personal reply to something you get an alert, if you post as a general post, or comment or reply, you don't. I haven't had alerts on comments on my projects, and keep spending time to look in now and then to check if anything needs an answer.

Hi all, We are working on

Hi all,

We are working on activating the system that will send notifications to users, if they want, when someone leaves a comment on your project.  It's coming to our website soon.

I'd also like to see when

I'd also like to see when people add new pictures to their projects.  I look at everything when it is first entered, but rarely go through older projects to look for updates.  Perhaps when pictures are added the projects could move back to the head of the queue?

You can set your

You can set your notifications in your profile to send you an email when any project is updated.

Go to My Profile>Notifications>Edit my notifications settings>check the box for Receive node follow-up notification emails.

When someone adds a new project and when they edit or update a current project you will receive an email notice with the link in it for the Project that was updated.

Hope that helps,
Claudia
