I'd like to see a feature where loom manufacturers and technical terms can be added to the spell check dictionary in use with forum posts. Many word processing programs allow you to build a dictionary as you go. Even if this were a moderated or administrator-controlled function, it would be worthwhile.
The difficulty would be deciding on the variants of countermarche, countremarche, countermarch, etc.
pearl, perle pearle cotton and selvedge, selvege, selvage............dictionary didn't help and I swear I have seen all these in my weaving books.

Yup, but if I got the red underline when I typed sevlage and not when I typed selvege or selvage, I'd be happy. I'd be especially happy if the software recognized Schacht but not Shacht and Glimakra but not Glimkcra, etc. But then I'm a bad typist and bad speller with a bad visual memory. I'd like the spell check to know when I am in the ballpark, and not inundate me with red lines. Possibly not the highest priority, but it is a thought I've had regularly and I wanted to get it down. Hope that makes sense.
I think this is a good suggestion. Thanks!
If we can do this, we can include all valid variations and none of them would give you the little red squiggle we've all come to love and hate.
Another thing for the list!
Thanks again,
Alison
