How to Participate in HalloWeave

Hi Mary, what is the best way to create a group as this is a short term event?  Should it be the same as a regular group? Can we have a html link for the halloweave logo?  Do the groups continue if they wish or finish by end of Oct?

Just an update that you are able to create a HalloWeave Team, but the grouping of all the teams appears to still be a work in progress. When it's complete, we'll get the word out. If you create a team, please be sure to select the HalloWeave 2011 Selection.

Maybe ask everyone to start their group's name with Hallo-whatever so when you sort groups they sort by hallo?

The HalloWeave teams are completely separate from the regular groups.  It is now completely functional and there is no need to do anything different in the name as long as you create your team correctly.  Here is how to do it:

If you find a HalloWeave group you want to join, join and post your dare.  We now have a few up for your perusal and I expect more in the next days.  You may join one  or more  groups.

From the Groups page, look for the Halloweave tab... That will show you only the Halloweave groups... 4 so far... Me, I'm looking for a Halloweave group that will dare me to just weave every day... That will get me away from the computer and back on the loom... Techno stuff is interesting, but weaving would be better for my soul...

where the dare is just to weave every day from 3-31 October.  That would be a great goal and an even better habit.   Incessant Shuttlers or Persistent Putters??

There is an unfortunate glitch in the Weavolution software at the moment .  When you go to a new to you group, even if it is a public group, you get this off-putting message:

I understand that you might like to see a few posts before joining, I would, and you should be able to see all of them.  Glitches!!! :(

We are aware of the problem and regret that it is an obstacle for you.  I am trying to find someone who can vanquish this Weavolution demon, in the meantime feel free to join  just to see what is happening.  You can unjoin at anytime.

We've brought this up many times before, I hope it gets changed. It would be very helpful fir folks to browse before the join.

OK, OK, Thanks for the gentle prodding... Just to let you know, this has been a hot topic for the techno team today.... We'll let you know what we discover later this weekend....  Pushing the cobwebs aside so I can see more clearly at those settings on my screen...
