I was browsing the posts in Twitter last night and saw a comment about Laverne Waddington, our very own bolivian warmi. She is being featured in the Nov/Dec issue of Handwoven.
Bravo Laverne!! Laverne started her Backstrap weaving group on Weavolution over a year ago and now has over 350 members. She is an integral part of our handweaving community on Weavolution and we love having her here.
Laverne published her first book, "Andean Pebble Weave" and maintains a fantastic blog with weekly posts filled with lots of juicy details on backstrap weaving. She recently published an article in Shuttle, Spindle and Dyepot and an upcoming feature in Handwoven.

It is not easy to know if I convey my feelings well, because English is not my language, but the textile brings us beyond words.

Hi Laverne, I am glad you are so successful. You really deserve the recognition since you have put so much time in learning all those techniques .You have developed such an expertise in backstrap-weaving and you are always willing to share this with other weavers.
