WHAT!!! You are calling the bears "waste"!!! Not only are they wonderful, but the varying shades of green give depth to their forest. I like the juxtaposition of the elegant elm tree on the stylized woven trees too.

I clicked on it right away when I saw it on the main page.  Very nice.

Stunning! The woven trees are nice but the combination with the larger scale silk screen tree makes it very intrigueing.  A new version of complex cloth ( as defined by Jane Dunnwold).

Bravo for taking the risk of silk screening on top of an very nice woven piece!

I really enjoy the contrast in the small repeating geometrical trees and bears and the large, complex, organic dyed trees.  Thanks for sharing!

This is wonderful, it's amazing what can be done on 8-shaft.  Very Pretty, I had to come and see it right away.

Notes

i wanted to weave all the trees illustrated in the book "A Weaver's Book of 8 Shaft Patterns." Then my husband helped me silk-screen the image of a tree on top of the web. To get the correct depth of green, we did a couple of tries on a "waste" part of the web where I had tried the treadling for a bear, and I loved that as a "sketch" and call it the Teddy Bears' Picnic......
