Hi Ane,

That is absolutely beautiful! Although I could never weave something like that with my 10 shafts, I would still like to have some more details about your tablecloth. Yarns, size etc

Beautiful use of negative space and color.  Your control of the picks per inch is awesome and the drape looks yummy!  Thank you for sharing!

Yes, this caught my eye too, but Ellen and Deb beat me to the viewing. Project posts like this is why we all end up with shaft-envy. (I run out after 12).

I only have 4 shafts on my Ashford! I get a little jealous of the 8-and-up shaft looms, but then I think about all the heddles that would need to be threaded.....

Hello dear weavers and thank you so much for nice comments ! It is many years since I wove this tablecloth and it was some of my first projects on my AVL dobby loom with 24 shafts. I had to try to make a pattern with all the shafts involved :0) This is not synonymous with making a good design. I have a tendency to mix up and make things overloaded. Conserning more details of this project; I tried to fill in about the yarn, draft etc, but it wouldn´t register!? Don´t know what I´m doing wrong! But, I used blue cotton 16/2 in the warp and blue linen 16/1 in the weft. As a setting I used a reed with 83 dents pr 10 cm, 1 thread in heddle and 2 threads in dent. I´ve woven this cloth both for dining table and for coffee table. The repeat is about 11 cm, and the draft is a twill-diaper 1/3. Yes, it is some work invested in the threading sequence, and it is devastating with wrong counting. Oh, I have done this many times, counting wrong! :0) Difficult with blending colours of the same hue too, in different types of yarn. It can often end up impure !
