Funny Thing! I took a weaving class last weekend above DDW and did the same pattern . It was fun and stuff to learn and do more!

Great project!  Looks like you had fun and the Santas are great!

Thanks for sharing them, made me smile.

Yes you're very right, Kristina, it is deflected double weave and not a colour-and-weave pattern. Thanks for the correction. Like you said, fun to do!

That is a lovely project and very sweet Santas :-)

Confirms my decision to take a course in deflected double weave next year!

Notes

On the "old" weavolution in the group "Fearless Scissors" I posted my Santa Claus project. Yet in this new version I cannot find it anymore. As X-Mas is soon to come again, I thought I would enter it in the general projects.

In a magazine I found these three Santas and decided to make part of the fabric myself by weaving a colour-and-weave design (see details under section draft). I used X-Mas colours green and red from stash for both warp and weft, cotton, 14 end/cm. After sewing the Santas I filled them with grains of rice, enough to make them stand alone and yet suitable for moulding.
