Rug for Pisano Family

This is a gift for the family through whom I got my loom, which makes it a very special project. The yarn is wool rug yarn, in natural, rose, green and brown. The colors were chosen to go in a certain room in their house. I like the plaid look, and wanted to use a draft that was kind of uneven so it wouldn't compete with the plaid. I chose the herringbone & twill #2 draft from Handweavers Pattern Book by Marguerite Porter Davison (p.26). I am happy with the result. The draft is interesting, and the pattern does not compete with the stripes.

I still need to finish the ends, but still deciding the best way to do it.
