Very, very beautiful!. But I want to know more. What is the measure?

I like to see the weaving process. Congratulations!

Hi Lavitaaj,

Your mug rugs are lovely. As soon as I saw them I knew I want to try that too! Thanks for showing them to us. I'd like to know some more details about materials and size if you can let us know. Thanks.

I love doing warp face design and weaving.  Have been intensively exploring what laverne calls 'simple'war floats!  I have 2 more Christmas projects and then my next piece will definitely be one weft double weave.  Then on to two weft double weave.  As much as I love doing simple floats, I would like the option of floats with out a stripe background, or even specks for that matter.  I want to design to stand alone.  I can't wait for THAT weaving experiment.  Your mug rugs are delightful!

Thanks for sharing them with us and please give us more info!

Amber (Lavitaaj) has really taken to backstrap weaving! and I hope she won't mind if I answer this....I have easier access to all the links. For those of you who have expressed interest in knowing the details, you can find the South American and African pattern charts and info for these mug rugs on my blog here

There are other mug rugs similar to these with Mexican motifs in another post on my blog here. This post includes a matching hotpad. The post includes links to the pattern charts.

The instructions for the warp faced double weave are here along with a video showing me weaving one of the Mexican mug rugs.

Lavitaaj, are these the remaining three for the set you promised your mom?
