the mind boggles at the possibilities! very nice. mistakes in reed threading sequences to get the right set would be so easy to correct!

Very nice!  Have the scarves been wet-finished?  I ask because of my recent surprise collapse.  If not I'l love to hear if you also get a surprise when you do wet finish them.  Is the fiber wool?

I agree that this looks like it would be very nice for lace and for collapse.  Is there a supplier in Canada or the US?  I found one in Korea and am waiting for a price quote.  Shipping will be a bear I'm sure.

Thanks for posting this.

Bonnie.

Yes, many possibilities!

The scarves have been wet-finished - just a gentle hand wash and the structure has kept it's form which is what I was hoping for.

The comb reeds are available from the Saori suppliers -  you can find a list of the Canadian and US suppliers here - http://www.saoriglobal.com/tabid/68/Default.aspx.  They are made for the Saori looms and I haven't tried them in other looms - they are 24 inches wide.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Happy Weaving!

Very cool. Does it come in different dents/inch (or cm)? What height is the reed?

It is 24" wide and comes in a 5 epi sett.  The height - I'll have to measure it - made to fit the Saori loom - but may fit others - see the photo with my project notes.

Notes

I had fun playing with a Saori comb reed - changing the sett of the weaving - creating curving lines.
