 Beautiful scarf.

This seems a fun to weave project . Perhaps I could use some of the yarn with sparkle that i have in my stash in combination with other more fluffy yarn to make something similar. It would add just a dash of sparkle and not bee to much.

This is more than clever. This is diabolically clever! At first I thought it was hairpin lace. Thank you for posting!

This is wonderful! I'll try it on my Cricket loom! Thank you!

Thanks all.  Please let me know if you do try it - I would love to see photos and would be happy to post them on my blog.

Happy Weaving!

I love this idea! I am currently knitting a red angora ruffled scarf.  It's boring and taking forever!  I almost feel like frogging it (rip it rip it) and using your wonderfully creative idea... but I'm 3/4 of the way done and I think I'll just try your woven ruffles for another project.  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks glad you like it.  I knitted a ruffled scarf and there are so many stitches it does take a lot longer than this woven one - but I'm sure that your angora knitted scarf will be beautiful when it is done!

If you try this woven version I'd love to see photos!

Happy knitting and weaving!

What a beautiful scarf.  I just bought yarn for crocheting a scarf similar to this, but seeing your scarf makes me want to weave it instead. I will give it a try! Thank you for posting it!!! I am inspired.

3/25/2011: I started and finished this scarf in 24 hours...super simple and so darn easy I can't believe it.  Thank you for your inspiration...here is a pic of mine.
