 I like this so much! You can use this design in a table runner, or in a bag, for example, and " play" with differents number of warps and wefts.to obtain differents effects,like you did. Graciela

This backstrap pattern is from a scandinavian book.  I like the ground that is speckled with just the plain weave sheds.  I have fdone this pattern on an inkle loom.  The warp alternates two natural with one rust.  The pick-up can get very interesting and if you use a double weft, the non pattern areas look like basketweave...that's why I named it that.  In the inkle book it is refered to as "speckled".  The width of this piece ended up being very narrow, I would like to try it larger, but this was a warp demo for a class and I made it small.
