That is very lovely both in design and choice of colours. And in baby alpaca it must be soft and wonderful to wear.

Thank you, Ellen.  That's a real compliment coming from you!

My eye too, was caught by your photo! Did you have fun coming up with the stripe order? Love the colors!

Thanks, Sally.  Actually the stripe order was part of the draft since one feature of the draft is color and weave effect.  Whoops...just realized that you don't know where the draft came from.  It is #235 from the Handweaver's Book of 8-Shaft Patterns edited by Carol Strickler.  I tried entering data for the project 3 times and each time everything got "dumped" so I gave up.

Anyway...the stripe order is essentially a fibonnaci series of 8-5-3-2-1.  Made it easy to square the plaid as I wove.

Notes

The draft for this scarf is #235 from The Weaver's Book of 8-Shaft Patterns, edited by Carol Strickler.

The yarn is a knitting yarn, but it worked very well for weaving.

The colors were chosen to match a pink down vest and black suede jacket, both of which get a lot of wear at this time of year.
